Having lost three pairs of pricey Ray-Ban sunglasses, I decided that it was time to check out less expensive alternatives. Basically, those pairs under $50 made my initial cut, and then I eliminated those under $15. Why? I wanted as much style and quality as I could get for my money, and I didn't think the under-$15 crowd was going to do that for me. I carefully culled the list of sunglasses bestsellers, and I cut the data in several different ways. There were a number of promising candidates in the end, but several pairs of Pepper and Anarchy glasses were at the top of my list. I was leaning toward the Peppers, which cost a bit less, but my girlfriend voted for the Anarchy sunglasses, and that carried the day (and if you indicate that this review is helpful, you will greatly please Janet, since she thinks I never pay attention to her). Are the sunglasses good? They are SUPERLATIVE, way beyond my expectations. First of all, they are much more stylish than my Ray-bans were, and their wraparound frame and more rounded (rather than rectangular) lenses gives them a very sleek and decidedly cool look. If you are older (like me), then please be advised than you run the risk of looking younger than you are by wearing these. The frame is also very comfortable, and it appears to be of fairly high-quality and sturdy plastic. The frame is certainly more comfortable than my Ray-Bans ever were, and they aren't as stodgy either. Last, the lenses perform much better than the Ray-Ban lenses, and I've had both glass and polycarbonate polarized lenses. They filt the light extremely well, are very soft on my eyes, and don't have the greenish tinge I kep getting with my last pair of Ray-Bans. The glasses come in a soft and velvety pouch which slips easily into a pocket and can be used in a pinch to wipe off the lenses. In short, I would buy these again in a heartbeat. They're a keeper and well worth the money. I hope this helps.
