I am a licensed optician and I say that these are perfect for casual outdoor activities! They work great when driving, fishing, at the beach, for any activity that will produce a glare to your eyes. If you want sunglasses, only get the ones that say "polarized", because there is a HUGE difference. However, if you are looking for high quality workmanship, you may not like these (I noticed a small spot where the colored plastic meets the clear plastic was not clean cut,although not really noticeable; however, the sunglasses are still functional). Otherwise, they feel heavy-duty and durable! I highly recommend these!
