I bought these sunglasses for many reasons: style, lens color, polarized, scratch resistant etc. Amazon also was the best deal and in typical amazon fashion they arrived in timely fashion and just as ordered. I proceeded to wear them to the beach where I was with many friends from all over the country and received several comments. (These particular shades can be a little glam-disco or John Gotti/Sopranos style on heavier set guys.) They look really good on others, of which I hope I'm in that category. In any event I must have convinced no fewer than 5 people in a 10 minute period to buy a pair. Keep in mind we all know each other but don't see each other often, a few times a year, so it was a safe choice for anyone to not be worried we all be walking around with the same shades. The lenses are so crisp, the definition in the clouds just seems to pop right off the sky. everyone who took off their glasses to try these felt like the sun glasses they had were totally inferior. I even started telling other people who tried them later in the week to be prepared to dislike your glasses once you try these on. 100% of the time, I was right. I was then paddle board surfing and they fell off in the ocean. (yes I was an idiot to have these on and paddle board surf but I was just trying it out and one thing led to another and there I was riding waves and not even thinking about the fact that I had glasses on doing it...so there you have it). So they fell off and despite my best efforts to search for them I lost them in the ocean. It was late afternoon and the tide was coming in but in short, I was despondent. I couldn't believe the glasses I had paid a considerable amount of money for and shown off to everyone convincing most of them to go order a pair for themselves had been lost for good in the ocean! The next day, I located them near the lifeguard chair on the beach. My very same glasses covered in dry seawater and sand. scratch resistant lenses? Not a single mark on the glass. Phenomenal! As one would imagine I was elated and still wearing my ocean proof, boomerang, Kaenon Aviators (Copper Lens, a must). Great product.
